Hwy 7: Adding a round-about at Line 26 between Stratford and St. Marys/London/401 W

Exits from this roundabout to Line 26 are now closed. This first phase of construction should not significantly affect through traffic on Hwy 7; however, from July 2nd until October, the roundabout will be closed to all traffic. Detours will be signposted, and drivers should allow extra time to follow them.

Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

Open Kitchen | Get Cooking! | Flavours of the Mediterranean: Morocco

Explore the wonderfully diverse and delicious world of North African cuisine during this series dedicated to the flavours of the Mediterranean. From bastilla to couscous to tagine, discover thesubtle spices behind the intriguing flavour combinations in Moroccan cuisine. After the cooking with instructor, Eli Silverthorne, is complete, take off your apron and savour the results of your labour with a glass of mint tea. This class is suitable for the vegetarian diner. Perfect for the beginner to intermediate home cook.

  • Lamb Shanks & Authentic Cous Cous
  • Charmoula & Harissa Sauces
  • Whole Wheat Pita Bread
  • Carnes de Gazelle (Almond Cookie)

This class is eligible for the Flavours of the Mediterranean May Series Pass.  (Mediterranean passes on sale until April 1, 2019)

Safety regulations require students wear closed toe shoes when participating in any cooking class.

This class has a maximum capacity of 14 students.

Classes are for students 16 years and older.

Participants will be provided with an apron and all necessary tools and equipment.

Menus, recipes and instructors are subject to change as required.

Help us help the environment! In the off chance we cook too much, please bring a container with you to help take home any leftovers. (One 1 litre container is recommended).

If you need to cancel a class, it is possible to get a refund (less the service fee) up to 7 days before the date of the event via your universe.com account. A credit note may be issued for cancellations received by email (admin@stratfordchef.com) a minimum of 48 hours before the event.

Please note that there are no credit notes or refunds for missed classes or classes cancelled less than 48 hours before the event.
