Hwy 6 to Embro/401: Replacement of large culvert Aug-Nov

Expect delays but road will not be closed. Hwy 7 detour is suggested as above, if there is an overlap.

Hwy 8 between Stratford and Shakespeare: In progress

Beginning in early June, stretches of this road between the west end of Shakespeare and the east end of Stratford will be reduced on weekdays to a single lane, with flag people controlling traffic in both directions. Delays may be lengthy, so please allow additional time for your trip. (Both lanes are expected to be open on evenings and weekends.)

The Stratford & District Agricultural Society is a not-for-profit organization that strives to being Rural and Urban Communities together! Located at 357 McCarthy Road, Stratford, Ontario, the Stratford & District Agricultural Society hosts a wide variety of events from Trade Shows, to Trivia Nights , Farmer’s Markets to Fall Fair and everything in between. Gather your family, friends neighbours and co-workers together for a fun filled night of Trivia , food and laughter. Work together as a team, let your competitive side sore and learn a little more than you already know…. Let’s head to the Fair… for the young and the young at heart…our 4 day Fair which runs September 19 - 22, 2019 has something for everyone! Explore the exhibits, take in the cattle shows, midway, tug-o-war, pet show, baby show, horse shows and everything in-between. Don't miss our interactive farm to you, enter your baking, sewing, photos, flower arrangements, wood carving, story writing, vegetable growing talents, work together as a family, put your thinking caps on and join the community.  Bake it, Make it, Grow it, Produce it…our Stratford Farmers' Market moto! The Stratford & District Agricultural Society is proud to have one of the oldest year round Farmer’s Markets in Ontario. With over 61 full time and part time vendors, we can provide you with fresh meats, cheese, eggs, fruits, vegetables, baked goods, canned goods, soaps and artisan crafts year round. If that isn’t enough to encourage you to join us at the Market every Saturday morning, then stop by on the Bacon Trail for our famous Back Bacon on a Bun!!! Open weekly, Saturdays 7a.m. -12 p.m. The Stratford & District Agricultural Society is thrilled to participate in a number of Community events as well, such as, Soups On, Chilli Day, Relay For Life, Canada Day Parade and Santa Clause Parade.
